NMMS Scholarship 2021

 National Means Cum Merit Scholarship is under the  Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education for the students studying from Class 8th.

Eligibility:

  • All those students who have enrolled themselves for class 8th can apply for this scholarship Students studying in government/local body/government-aided schools can apply for this scholarship.
  • Students' family income from all sources does not exceed Rs 1,50,000.
  • Those students who are enrolled in NVS, KVS, Sainik School, and private school cannot apply for this scholarship Those students studying in schools run by State Government with facilities like boarding, lodging, etc cannot apply for this scholarship

It is a test-based scholarship where there are two sections.
1. Mental ability test (MAT):  Through this test, the reasoning abilities and critical thinking of the candidate are examined this test consists of 90 multiple choice questions are based on topics like analog, hidden figure, pattern, perception, numerical series, classification, etc.
2. Scholastic aptitude test (SAT). This test is based on the syllabus of class 7th and 8thThis test cover subject like science, social studies, mathematics there are 90 multiple choice questions in this test

Benefits
  • The scholarship amount under NMMS Scholarship is Rs 12000 per annum that is 1000 per month up to class 12.
  • Under this scholarship scheme, the student of class 9th receives Rs 12000 per annum scholarship for an academic year in one go. The students are required to renew the scholarship every year still the student completes class 12th. It has to be noted that the student should be promoted every year into the higher class.
Application Process:
  • Go to the NSP website.
  • Register yourself as a student and submit mandatory documents.
  • Select the scheme as NMMS during the process of application.
