Overview:
HDFC Badhte Kadam Scholarship 2022-23 aims to provide financial assistance to help high-performing students from underprivileged backgrounds to continue and complete their education, including those whose families are going through any kind of crisis. In addition, in due course, the program will also offer selected candidates additional support which could include mentorship and access to career counseling programs. The scholarship fund is exclusively meant for meeting the academic expenses of the selected candidates which includes tuition fee, hostel fee, learning devices or aids, books, stationery, etc.
Eligibility:
- Students enrolled in class XI/XII /general graduation or professional graduation courses.
- Sub-schemes are available for students with disabilities and students preparing for competitive exams(Please find them below).
- Applicants must have obtained at least 60% marks in the previous class or board exams.
- The applicant's annual family income should be below INR 6,00,000, from all sources.
- Special consideration will be given to -
- Girl students
- Students who are going through any kind of crisis (lost a parent/both parents, terminal illness in the family, etc.)
- Children of employees of HDFC & Buddy4Study are not eligible.
- Students from pan-India are eligible.
For students with disabilities:
- Open for students with disabilities having a disability level of more than 40% and a valid disability certificate
- Applicants must have obtained at least 50% marks in the previous class or board exams.
- Open for students studying in grades 11, and 12 or pursuing Graduation, Diploma/ITI, or any certified vocational course in a recognized school or college in India.
- The annual family income of the applicants should be below INR 8,00,000, from all sources.
- Open for students who are pursuing studies in/have completed Class 11 & 12 and aspire to study in NIRF's top-ranked engineering, medical or law colleges in India.
- Applicants must be preparing for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, and NIFT at a recognized coaching institution.
- Applicants must have obtained at least 80% marks in the previous class or board exams.
- The annual family income of the applicants should be below INR 6,00,000, from all sources.
Benefits:
- For professional graduation courses: INR 100,000 per 1 year.
- For general graduation courses: INR 30,000 per 1 year.
- For XI/ XII students: INR 18,000 per 1 year
- For students with disabilities: INR 100,000
- For students preparing for competitive exams: INR 72,000
Note: Scholarship funds can be utilized only for academic expense purposes which include tuition fees, exam fees, books, stationery, online learning, and payment of internet/data pack bills.
Documents required:
- Passport size photograph
- Marksheet of previous education qualification
- A government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card)
- Current year admission proof (Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/Institution ID Card/Bonafide Certificate)
- Applicant Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque (Information will also be captured in the application form)
- Income Proof (any of the three proofs given below)
- Income Proof issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Counsellor/Sarpanch
- Income Proof issued by SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
- Proof of family/personal crisis (if applicable)

- Upload the required documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
