Badhte Kadam Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of the H T Parekh Foundation to help high-performing students from less privileged backgrounds overcome financial barriers and successfully pursue their education. This scholarship not only supports students facing economic crises but also aims to provide additional assistance such as mentorship and access to career counselling programs in the future. The scholarship fund is dedicated explicitly to covering various academic expenses, including tuition fees, hostel fees, learning devices or aids, books, stationery, and more.
Eligibility:
- Students enrolled in any year of general graduation or professional graduation courses (Ex.B.Tech., MBBS, B.Arch, Nursing, BA-LLB, Fashion, BBA, BCA, BCom, BSc, BA etc.)
- Applicants must have obtained at least 70% marks in the previous class or board exams.
- The applicant's annual family income should be below INR 6,00,000, from all sources.
- Special consideration will be given to -
- Preference will be given to girl students and existing Badhte Kadam scholars for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23.
- Priority will be given to students experiencing crises, such as the loss of a parent/both parents or a terminal illness in the family.
For students with disabilities:
- Open for students with disabilities, having a disability level of more than 40%, and a valid disability certificate.
- Students must be pursuing general or professional graduation courses from recognized colleges/universities in India.
- Applicants must have obtained at least 60% marks in the previous class or board exams.
- The annual family income of applicants should be below INR 6 lakh from all sources.
Benefits:
- For professional graduation courses: INR 100,000 per 1 year.
- For general graduation courses: INR 30,000 per 1 year.
- The same is applicable for students with disabilities.
Documents required:
- Passport size photograph
- Marksheet of previous education qualification
- A government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card)
- Current year admission proof (Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/Institution ID Card/Bonafide Certificate)
- Applicant Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque (Information will also be captured in the application form)
- Income Proof (any of the three proofs given below)
- Income Proof issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Counsellor/Sarpanch
- Income Proof issued by SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
- Proof of family/personal crisis (if applicable)

- You will now be redirected to the application form page.
- Click on the ‘Start Application button to begin the application process.
- Fill in the required details in the online scholarship application form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
